Church Plant

Living Acts Church is planting Living Word Church to make room for deeper community and shared life.

We believe church is healthiest when people are known, loved, and cared for in meaningful relationships. As Living Acts has grown, God has placed a clear and joyful desire on our hearts to multiply this kind of church life so more people in Tyler and East Texas can experience it.

Our Vision

Living Word Church exists to move people toward gospel truth, helping them to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ through the living Word of God.

Our desire is to be a church where:

  • Relationships are real and personal
  • Faith is lived out together, not just on Sundays
  • Discipleship happens through everyday life
  • Community feels more like family than a crowd

This is not the only faithful way to do church, but it is the way God has shaped Living Acts, and it is a gift we want to share.

Planting from Health and Wisdom

Living Acts Church is in a season of strong health, and this plant is being launched with care and intention.

For at least the first year, Living Word Church will:

  • Share finances and administrative systems with Living Acts
  • Use the same software and operational support
  • Share a youth group with Living Acts

This approach allows Living Word to begin with stability and support. It is a safe risk and one that gives the church time to grow strong roots.

Leadership

Living Word Church will launch with experienced leadership shaped by the theology, culture, and convictions of Living Acts.

The planting elders are:

  • Jason Stone, Lead Pastor
  • Kyle Carter, Elder
  • Jordan Butler, Elder

In January, Jason will be stepping away from his current job and coming on full time to lead and shepherd Living Word Church as we prepare for launch.

Where Will We Meet?

We are currently pursuing several temporary meeting locations as we prepare for launch. Our goal is to choose a space that is accessible, familiar, and well suited for building community in this early season.

Current options include:

  • Temporarily meeting at the Dance and Drill building in Tyler, where Living Acts held services for ten years
  • Temporarily meeting at the Living Acts Church building
  • One additional temporary location that is currently being explored

We will communicate clearly as decisions are made and will ensure plenty of notice before launch.

Who Living Word Church Is For

Living Word Church will be formed by:

  • Men and women being sent from Living Acts Church
  • People who do not currently have a church home

We are intentionally building a church that is welcoming, grounded, and easy to step into. Whether you are part of Living Acts or simply looking for a church community, there is space for you here.
