My name is Brindra Lekrhaj. I am the Discipleship Pastor of Living Acts. I have an amazing wife (Sara) and 4 great children (Mia, Isaiah, Alina and Nadia).
My story begins May 23, 1979 in the small country of Guyana in South America. When I was nine years old I moved to the States with my dad and sister to the Bronx in New York City. My mother would join us two years later. All of my family grew up in the Hindu religion, so I naturally followed in the same footsteps until God saved me in 2000. I quickly got plugged in with a local church, and July of that year I went on a short term mission trip to Trinidad where I would meet my wife Sara. It was on that mission trip that I realized I had a passion for missions and a love to teach God’s people. Upon returning home I served as a youth leader, and in 2001 helped lead a small team on a mission trip to Peru. I continued to serve as a youth leader until 2002 when Sara and I got married. God uprooted everything I knew and everyone I knew, and moved me to Tyler, Texas where my wife was living before we got married. We now have three children and one on the way. I’m currently attending school for an associate degree in nursing, while working at a local hardware store. My desire is for God to use me to somehow incorporate a medical ministry with Living Acts Church to the people of Tyler, and to do short term medical missions with my family.
